I have a copy of XP SP3 RTM that I have been trying to get to work with
unattended 4.7RC2

I duped our working SP2 install and slipstreamed SP3 into it, created new
%winver%-updates and notips files for 'winxpsp3'

Windows installs fine, then the first scripts run (perl installs OK)

But then todo.pl fails on first run, at a point where it is trying to talk to
WMI. I get the exact same error as in this post:

http://www.mail-archive.com/unattended-devel@lists.sourceforge.net/msg00881.html

But I've re-created the SP3 install 3 times via different slipstream methods,
with the same result (the user in the above case found the problem was caused
by something wrong in his os install)

The problem is definitely WMI-related, todo.pl isn't managing to talk to WMI.
Interestingly, when I run the MS script WMIDiag.vb on the machine the script
fails with authentication problems (complains I'm not a local admin, when I
am). I'm not sure at this point if something has changed in WMI in SP3, or if
my SP3 install is bad. My next step is trying to find a base XP with no SP
(tricky as it has to be a volume license one) so I can slip SP3 into that
instead of over the top of SP2.

Anyone else playing with SP3?
