Comment(by sebi-m):

 Windows XP delivers Flash 6 with its IE 6 SP1 browser onboard, so you have
 Flash already installed. And this version of Flash has -- oh wonder --
 already a security hotfix. I don't need to say that this old version is no
 longer in any security lifecycle and should be replaced with an up-to-date
 version. Therefore it should be mandatory to install a recent Flash
 player.

 But to answer your question: I would prepare two distinct scripts. But I
 doubt that would make sense anyhow, as I explained before.

 The files we download are in fact the same, just different URLs:
 $ diff -s <(wget -q -O -

http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_10_active_x.exe)
 <(wget -q -O -

http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe)
 Files /dev/fd/63 and /dev/fd/62 are identical

 Thanks for the quick fix :-)
