Just tried installing a Windows 2000 and a Windows XP machine with your
unattended.txt (slightly modified to match my environment) and it appears that
Office 2000 does not ask for the CD anymore. Neither on Windows 2000 nor on
Windows XP.
Not sure yet what I did with my unattended.txt that it didn't work. But the
problem with the updates still remains. :/

- copy the complete Office CD to the share (mind the hidden files)
- let the installer do it's work
