this is rarely the case. Well if you are trying to install 50+ clients at the
same time it is an issue

Not quite sure what exactly is going on but here are few suggestions
1) do you have excessively lo ng paths sth like dir1\dir2\dir3\dir4\i386--Well it does not seem like it, the structure is that it is off the root of the machine as an install folder shared as and install folder. Under that is the os folder and then the version (ie win2kpro), under that is the i386 folder - so from the server standpoint it is \install\os\win2kpro\i386. From the client standpoint it is \\servername\install\win2kpro\i386. If that is too long then I would like to know how you suggest I shorten it.
2) is your OS_MEDIA variable too long--Not sure. How do I find out?
3) is by any chance the network too "loud" i.e. too much traffic in it.During my installs I have a server and a workstation on a 100Mb network. I have not done any testing on that either but the transfer rates appear to be good in all aspects, indicating that it does not have too much traffic.4) which version of unattended you use4.6
5) are the network cables okI have not gone through a certification with test equipment but they work fine for access the intranet and internet for workstations that alreay have an OS.Thank you!
