I found that adding the following to my [_meta] section worked (on 4.8RC4):
fix_disk_geo_heads = ""
fix_disk_geo_sectors = ""
The fix for NTLDR Not Found seems to have its own issues.....

Thank you for the suggestion.
The section you described was included automatically, minus the "quotes" around
the zero. I tried including them, but as I suspected, this made no difference.

I ran into at least something similar and adding that section back in got me
past the blinking cursor.
