And, I would argue that we're teaching a way of thinking not thinking itself.  
That is already happening.  The thinking has to come first before we can name 
it.  But, I think we all already know that.

 How could we say we are  
teaching thinking without teaching the language of thinking? This has been a  
fascinating discussion and I am not sure about any of this...
Just some ponderings in my own struggle to understand...
