Beverlee, in her great wisdom, wrote, "Maybe Lesson Study has been slow to grow here because instructional decision-making has been so diminished in language arts that our teachers have stopped "reaching" for improved practice."
I want to respond in agreement, but I simply can't applaud loudly enough. I would insert 'professional growth' or 'teacher learning' or any one of wide variety of ways we learn where you have 'Lesson Study,' but apples are apples.
