This is likely going to be the most read bunch of postings on this site!!!
I bought my boat, from a pastor, who told me there was a minor problem with one of the engines. I low balled him on the price, and he took it. I felt in my heart, and common sense told me to expect to rebuild the 'problem' engine. I checked it out and had my marine mechanic confirm the engine was seized. When we tore it down found bent connecting rods, bent and broken push rods, this engine came to a sudden and catostrophic stop. I met several of the pastor's neighbours at the marina who confirmed a high rev seizing of this engine with the pastor at the controls. Who are you expected to trust these days? Other than the engine problem, since rebuilt and running strong, I'm happy to report that the boat is basically in original condition, not 'hacked' on and messed up. Kind of a time capsule kind of boat. Really enjoying it. Dave.
