Hi,
I have a Raritan crown head and it was very, very nosey also. For years I
always thought that was normal.
This winter I rebuilt the entire head. Much to my surprise it now flushes
very quietly, you can hardly hear it flush!!!
After years of a nosey head I found that the "waste discharge impeller" was
to close to the back of the housing. Make sure it is about a 1/16 away from
the back of the chamber and you to will be pleased.
That’s all folks.
Capt. Perry

When we bought our 1984 YF, it had two raritan heads mounted on crown
pumps. They used salt water and were connected to Lecta San systems to
dump overboard. They were extremely noisy and the people in the marina
office knew everytime we flushed them. Hahahaha. We dumped all of that
stuff and installed MasterFlush units. I plumbed them directly to our
holding tank and connected them to the fresh water system. They seem
to work very well and my wife is much happier now that the neighbors
don't know when she flushes them. I haven't had them long enough to
comment on their longevity. But, at about $1200 a pop, they better
last forever. Hahaha.
