Geez, I never looked over my 1968, but if the numbers were in the
galley, they are in the landfill somewhere now.  Is the HIN the same
thing as today's VIN?  When I registered my boat, they just assigned
me a new VIN and it starts with a Z, indicating "home-made" due to the
boats age.  Other than identifying the authenticity of the boat, what
do you need the HIN for?
