Rob, Be careful of the Honda as it can create carbon monoxide unless you port the exhaust out, and then you have a cooling problem for the exhaust and a possible back pressure to the engine which could cause some problems. Also a fueling problem. Pouring gas or refuling below deck has a lot of hazards, plus storing gas in a container. Be sure to have a detector onboard no matter what solution you go with.
You can run it above decks but you then have a re-fueling and extension cable, and a way to secure it to the deck problem. My windows are in really bad shape so I am covering them with Plexiglas for the winter then I will research solutions over the winter. Also like others I am looking for a window solution.
