They are flat head screws. If the bolts stick through the nuts, hold them with vice-grips and tighten the nuts.     Ray

Subject: [UnifliteWorld] shaft log bolts
Date: Sun, 22 Nov 2009 12:39:33 -0600

I've been re-wireing my bonding system on my'72 SaltyDog, twin 318 inboards. The boat is in the water. While cleaning the nuts inside the shaft log, many are loose and spinning with the bolts. Does anyone know if these are studs threaded into the shaft log or thru bolts. if they were studs could I replace them from the inside? Thanks
