Try trying to slide out the plastic felt strips. Spray the strips with
silicone to make them slide easier. Use a needle noise plier to grab one end
of the strip and pull. If this the kind I think you have they will slide
out. You then can lift out the windows to do your work.

Another leaking window question:

I have a '73 DCMY. My salon windows sit on a white, plastic strip in
the track. I am convinced the source of my leaks are the window
tracks. Are the screws holding the channel under the plastic strip? If
so, does the strip pull out somehow to rebed the screws?

I am not seeing the screws on top of the white strip.
