This sounds like the system on my 318's. I have a diagram and instructions
calling it "The San Juan Cooling System" My heat exchangers are mounted
along each engine on the outside. I have the original aluminum reservoir,
none of the replacement ones fit under the hatch on my '72 SaltyDog.
