I thought I would come back full circle and let you all know where I landed. I found a scream'n deal on a Roskelley/Olsson RS-1 that I found on Craigslist this weekend. The guy had bought a 35' Bayliner and pulled it off the boat. He was converting it into a full time fishing boat and had no need (his words) for a dinghy or davit in the rear. I got it very cheap. I dropped it off at Powder Coating Solutions in Tacoma to get blasted and refinished and I will get it mounted on the swim step in a few weeks once I get it back. It was in excellent shape, but since I had fresh gelcoat on the boat, I wanted fresh powder coat on the davit to match. Here is a link to the unit.

My 35ft boat had davits on the back, but that obliterated the swim step as mentioned previously.
