I would pay to have you visit and inspect our old tub-OR- I would love to visit you and your boat! You obviously have a love of and great experience with these uni's- I would love to sit at your feet and learn! I am generally a very competent soul UNTIL I step aboard our DCMY-it no doubt needs more than I capable of providing it! On each of the 4 bolts that goes thru the transom there should be a flat washer and a locking nut that holds the bolt in place on the outside of the transom. After that nut there should be another flat washer that the house zinc buts up to and then another washer and nut to hold the zinc in place. Unless one of the bolts is seeping water, do not disturb them. I did not get your attachment Capt. I have a 42' DCMY with 2 transom zincs. They appear to be attached by a bolt through a backing plate then hull so to replace the terminal you have to remove the bolt from the backing plate and hull? Therefore out of the water and then reseal the bolts. I have added a picture in files (100-0871) that shows 1 of the bolts attached to the backing and hull. Could Uniflite have done it this way so you have to remove the bolts from the transom? Thanks again for any help.
