Yeah, I missed that too.  My CC37 has the same fitting - it's not quite
triangular, more a rounded trapezoid - and that second smaller hose goes to
a fitting just above the through-hull for overboard discharge.  I've never
understood what it's for.

That deck plate was the source of a major leak when I bought the boat -
luckily I found & fixed it before it rotted the floor.  The deck plate was
cracked and I couldn't reach it from inside, so I managed to repair it &
rebed it from the outside.  When I replace it, I will have to get a
stainless plate fabricated to cover the huge hole in the side deck, and
mount a standard waste deck fitting in the plate.  The whole mess is
located outboard of a panel covered with wiring coming from the engine
space, so I will have to attach a fresh piece of waste hose to the deck
fitting before I install the whole thing in the side deck.  Major PITA.
For now it doesn't leak, so it's not very high on my priority list...
