just might be the vent hose from your waste tank
Sent from Windows Mail From: John Strong Sent: Friday, July 31, 2015 10:30 AM To: [email protected] Yeah, I missed that too. My CC37 has the same fitting - it's not quite triangular, more a rounded trapezoid - and that second smaller hose goes to a fitting just above the through-hull for overboard discharge. I've never understood what it's for. That deck plate was the source of a major leak when I bought the boat - luckily I found & fixed it before it rotted the floor. The deck plate was cracked and I couldn't reach it from inside, so I managed to repair it & rebed it from the outside. When I replace it, I will have to get a stainless plate fabricated to cover the huge hole in the side deck, and mount a standard waste deck fitting in the plate. The whole mess is located outboard of a panel covered with wiring coming from the engine space, so I will have to attach a fresh piece of waste hose to the deck fitting before I install the whole thing in the side deck. Major PITA. For now it doesn't leak, so it's not very high on my priority list... On Fri, Jul 31, 2015 at 9:11 AM, David Oates <[email protected]> wrote: Hey Bob, What are you forwarding to "him"? I didn't get the message in between. My 42 doesn't have a triangle plate, but it does have a small opening next to the waste pump-out port. I have been wondering what that small port is and what it is for. It is connected to a hose that runs down like the waste hose, but I don't know where it goes. One cannot force water down it and I don't think I can pull anything out with the pump-out. I told him I'd ask on this site.He has a triangular Jabsco deckplate for his waste management system with 2 holes labeled Waste and "Par Waste" . Anyone know how these are to be used? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "UnifliteWorld" group.
