hey, all,
so, a couple weeks ago my house on 47th & hazel was broken into (the
classic first floor window crime - someone on the porch slit the screen
and climbed in the open window, grabbed valuables in the living room, and
left through the front door.
we took some security measures (shutting & locking windows, entry way and
exterior lights, leaving lights on) but it looks like someone tried to
break in a couple days ago, similar method. no idea if it was the same
person or a totally different one. it was unsuccessful because the window
was locked, but i am really concerned. the detective on the case still
hasn't (and probably won't) solved the crime, but i wanted to let folks
know that this is going on.
