I wrote this on behalf of every good resident of the University City District. Could someone from UCD (Barry, Melani, or Tony) forward this to the marketing department for all of us. The community thanks you.
Dear District Marketing Experts, This community was unanimously moved when Mr. Wendell Lewis educated us about your efforts at community engagement in last weeks UC Review. And we were profoundly impressed at your marketing wizardry and the civilizing conquest at the frontier of civilization, 50th and Baltimore. Your praises will be sung thousands of years after the name, Julius Caesar, is long forgotten. As you know without doubt, our community of good neighbors is always unanimous about all good plans. A stranger could ask the most narcissistic civic association leader or someone as low as Glenn Moyer, and he or she would always hear the one answer from our one unanimous community mind. Why does the community write to you today? The community needs your marketing magic one more time! Our community is unanimously against the plan for an outrageous corporate Penn hotel at 40th and Pine. Every one of us was hoping that you might get our unanimous opposition published in the Metro, Daily News, and Inquirer next week. If you could get our unanimous opposition published in the Washington Post, DP, and The Phila. Business Journal the following week that would be great too. Thank you, UCD, thank you dear friends. The community loves how you lovingly saturate the media with (wink, wink)to keep us cleaner and safer. Tell Mr. Wendell Lewis that every one of us in the district unanimously thanks UCD for engaging the community with this request to beat back this fucked up Penn agenda for our Victorian Village. This community wants to know, what the fuck were the Penn corporate operatives thinking? Trying to destroy an historic building last summer without telling us! Give em hell UCD! With much love, The University City District Community Mind PS: The community did a voice survey of the neighborhood adjacent to the District just south of 40th and Woodland. Using the technique the community learned from you kind folks of the District, the community was able to conclusively determine that 100% of residents outside the district frontiers are opposed to the 10 story corporate hotel too. Survey Methods: Every single resident of the historic upscale Woodlands was present (n=hundreds.) Not a single soul rose up, when the community asked if anyone was willing to speak in support of the Penn hotel. There was dead silence. Conclusion: Theres nothin like the UCD model for quality research to keep us unanimously cleaner and safer. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
