One suspects that the appropriate term would involve a reference to
organic fertilizer of the bovine variety...what better material for

hmmm... there ought to be a word for pre-astroturfing -- a 
word that would convey the process whereby a neighborhood is 
depicted as having agreed about something before that 
neighborhood has actually even heard about it... 
 

retroturfing?  pre-seedural?  cytoblasting? 

premature endosperming?  ???
