Not really. I realized that although the playlists don't show up under
"browse playlists", if I look at "browse music folder" then I can see
them there, since all my playlists are in fact in a sub-directory of my
music folder. However, the playlists don't work. I believe that
Slimserver is meant to be able to translate DOS style paths. And in
fact, looking at the console messages I get, I can see that it is
dealing with the drive letter and the '\':

file:///My%20Music/Jazz/Ornette%20Coleman%20(1959-61)%20Beauty%20Is%20A%20Rare%20Thing%20-%20Atlantic%20Recordings/55.%20Mapa.flac

found in playlist:

file:///home/slimserver/My%20Music/My%20Playlists/Ornette%20Coleman%20session%201961-03%20-%20on%20tenor%20sessions.m3u

doesn't exist on disk - skipping!

So the string "F:\My Music\Jazz\Ornette Coleman (1959..." is being
translated partly successfully. Looks to me that the difficulty might
be in the '%20' that's appearing in place of spaces, though I'm ready
to be corrected by someone with more knowledge about how Slimserver and
Linux handle long Windows file names.
