Michael, thank you for the help it got me pointed in the right direction. In the end to get lame to work indeed to DL and install ncurses4-5.0-9.i386.rpm and notlame-3.70-1.i386.rpm on the Clarkconnect server Home 3.2. I renamed notlame to lame so I think the slimsever can use it. In the Player Settings for SoftSqueeze on Desk Top, under the Audio section Slimserver say I have lame setup correctly. Also I was able to covert a .wav file to a .mp3.
The problem I am having now is that when I change the Bitrate Limiting setting in the Softsqueez player settings on the slimserver, to anything but no limit the Softsqueez will not play. My music floder points to /mnt/wdusb/music/Music/Flac and in the file types I checked the FLAC -> MP3 flac/lame box. Any ideas will be greatly appriciated.
