I believe I tried adding the line "prepend <DNS servers>" to a file
that creates the resolv.conf file (can't remember which file that is).
I also tried "chtty +i resolv.conf" which resulted in an error,
something about inappropriate ioctl on resolv.conf.
chattr +i resolv.conf
BTW, there is absolutely no way that SlimServer is changing your resolv.conf.
Check in /etc/network/interfaces - how are your DNS servers being specified?
Are you using the 'resolvconf' package which automatically updates resolv.conf ?
