I have been using my office pc running XP as my music server for my SB3 for a few months hassle free but I have just got hold of a second pc and was considering having a go at putting a Linux distro on it and then using that as the server. As a complete Linux novice I am after some advice. I bought my SB3 from Ripcaster and on their web site there is, what appears to me, to be fairly comprehensive instructions for installing Fedora Core 3 and Slimserver.
I was wondering if anyone here had used these instructions for the installation and if so was it straight forward? I know that this has been asked so many times in the past but is Clark Connect the best one for a complete novice or is FC3 suitable?
