Friends >>> I just upgraded from Ubuntu 6.10 to 7.04 - no problems, and
all working OK. Except... the update manager keeps telling me there's
an update to install: libpath-class-perl, from ver 0.51-1 to ver
0.51-1

Yes, that's what it says, 'from' and 'to' version are the same. And
when I install it, apparently successfully, the update manager continues
to report that it needs to be installed. So I uninstalled it
completely, and reinstalled ver 0.15-1, but Fiesty continues to signal
that it should be updated.

At one level, this is not a big deal; but it's irritating to have
the update notification icon popping up at every startup; and I don't
know without looking whether it's a genuine notification, or a nag
about this same item.

Any ideas? I'm fairly new to Linux, so I don't really know how to
investigate or deal with this. (I'm assuming that libpath-class-perl
is being used by SS?)

TIA
