I'm not sure this is a good idea. I assume you put a SSD in there to be able to shut down the main (noisy) disk. If you move logs, DB etc. to the HD, it will no longer spin down. All the effect of having a SSD would be lost. AFAIK SSD nowadays are robust enough that you can have it written for years. I've read tests where they tried to destroy flash based media by hammering it constantly with random writes and they didn't succeed.
