Hello, pardon my ignorance with Linux as I'm just starting to work with
this OS. I've installed a CentOS box, installed Squeezecenter and am
serving music just fine (to my Slimserver). This linux box sits in my
audio rack and has no monitor attached and I'm forcing myself to stay
at the command line in an effort to better learn Linux and break my GUI
habit.

This server is connected directly to my audio equipment. I would like
to be able to control what is played on this server via a web browser
from my other PC. The only way I see you can do this is to run
softqueeze on the linux server.

So, again, I apologize for asking what might be an obvious question but
is there a way to do this without initiating an X session and starting
the java app? A service perhaps? Some sort of scripted X session?
Another player option?

Thanks!
