I have the latest softare updates for the controller (7.01) and the latest firmware in the receiver (23) and SC (7.0.1). On the controller, under "settings/advanced/" there is no "network test". There is a "factory test" for testing the controller (display, etc), but nothing for the wired network between the server and the receiver.
FLAC files play fine, and the aac should be transcoded into FLAC.
