I am having my first gripe on here. I updated squeezecenter from 7.01 to 7.10 yesterday, up to then I was happy with everything.
I am using Ubuntu hardy heron. My steps for upgrading are as follows:- Stop the squeezecenter :- sudo /etc/init.d/squeezecenter stop then get updates:- sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install squeezecenter then start squeezecenter sudo /etc/init.d/squeezecenter start Why is it that http://localhost:9000/ will never start after i do the steps above to update? I end up deleting all the cache files from /var/lib/squeezecenter/cache then after a reboot I can start http://localhost:9000 but now I have lost all my database and trackstat data. Lots of my plugins are now out of date and I had to download those. Trackstat does not appear to be restoring my data either and stand to lose months of trackstat ratings, I shall be onto erland about this I know he will get me going again. Can anybody tell me why upgrading never goes right for me, this seems to be a ball aching job everytime perhaps in future I will just leave well alone when I have the system running how I like it. I want to be listening to music and not doing too much troubleshooting and pc stuff to get the thing running how I like it. -- Ashy72 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ashy72's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12230 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=50554 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
