Same problem here (I'm very new to Linux). Using H Heron with an external USB drive. I've added an entry to fstab which mounts the drive at boot, and this seems OK - I can see it from other Windows PCs on the local network. Entry is:
LABEL=SHARON /media/SHARON auto users,uid=1000,gid=100,utf8,dmask=027,fmask=137 0 0 mount reports /dev/sdb1 on /media/SHARON type vfat (rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev,uid=1000,gid=100,utf8,dmask=027,fmask=137) I'm adding /media/SHARON/music to the music folder box in basic settings. Clicking apply once seems OK, but as soon as I close that window, or click apply again, it reverts to the local drive on /home/martin/Music Clicking browse in basic settings and opening /media lists the cd and floppy drives, but no sign of SHARON I've set permissions to allow anyone access to the Music folder on SHARON. Any ideas please? -- Onewheeler ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Onewheeler's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=20212 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=52956 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
