Hi Mudlark, I'm currently trialling Vortexbox (www.vortexbox.org) which is based on Fedora Linux, this is on a mate's old PC purchased for £20....so far I am very impressed, a couple more things to check before making the full plunge and setting this up as my music server. I definately think I've made the right decision, initially I was going to go for a NAS but thought they were over priced for the power then looked at a low powered pc such as the tranquilPC, the cost factor has driven me down the vortexbox route and am very pleased so far Ian -- socistep ------------------------------------------------------------------------ socistep's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18860 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=61364
