Thanks. Going through portaudio's message board I see some activity on PulseAudio. Last april a guy from Ubuntu announced that he would work on a direct port, but I've seen nothing since.
But portaudio should allow me to select a virtual alsa device provided by pulseaudio. For example, Audacity (which uses my libportaudio2 V19+svn20071022-3) allows you to select ALSA:default (or ALSA:pulse) which is set up through the pulseaudio system and alsa's asound.conf. But I don't see anything like that when I run squeezeslave -L, and the available devices change depending upon what else is running. There are devices like "front", "rear", "dmix" and "/dev/dsp", perhaps one of these would be a virtual alsa device provided by pulseaudio? -- blazerte ------------------------------------------------------------------------ blazerte's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5090 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57746 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
