As SBS is server software it could be running happily in the background and you wouldn't know it. Try opening a web browser on your Mandriva machine and going to either http://localhost:9000/ or http://127.0.0.1:9000/. If SBS is running either of those will take you to its web interface.
If that doesn't work you should check the logs, but unfortunately I don't know where those are kept in Mandriva installations.
