My son gave me a Squeezebox Duet for Christmas. He set it up, running of his Windows 7 based laptop. It was great: I could access all the terrible music in his library. Now he's gone back to Australia and I have tried to set it up on my desktop, which runs Mandriva 2010.1 Spring.
I followed the instructions in the Quick start guide, and downloaded the RPM to my Downloads folder. I then clicked the RPM file and was given the choice to save it or to install it. I chose Install. After that, nothing obvious happened. Step 4 of the Quick start guide says to follow the on-screen directions, but none came up. Neither I nor my more computer-literate friend have been able to get it going. I would appreciate any help. Please bear in mind that I do not know how to use the command line.
