I'm not familiar with Mandriva, but it does sound as though the installation from RPM (is Mandrive Debian-based?) is not completing.
Two things I would suggest: 1) Try starting SBS by hand, from a Terminal (command line) window. Look for slimserver.pl on your system. If you cannot find slimserver.pl, then the instal didn't get very far. If you do find it, then try the following command (using the location where you found slimserver.pl in place of my /usr): perl /usr/slimserver.pl You should, at least, get an error message which would help to identify the problem. 2) Try performing the installation from the standard unix tarball distribution. Although more complicated, it should work on most linux distributions. This is the route I had to follow on a slackware distro. -- peterbell ------------------------------------------------------------------------ peterbell's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7314 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=84451 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
