Hi, I will try to be as clear as possible... ;) It should be rather painless, since Arch has a good mechanism for installing software that isn't in any official repository and some kind guy was already so nice to make a 'PKGBUILD' for SBS. Just go to http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=35030 fetch the tarball and follow this guide: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AUR Now some setup-tips after you have installed SBS: SBS needs a directory it can write playlists to, I simply created one under '/mnt' called '/mnt/sbs-writable' and gave it permissions '770' and set group and owner to squeezebox (the package creates this group and this user, so you don't have to create them yourself). To allow SBS to access my music on my hard drives I create a group called 'music' myself and add the user 'squeezebox' to it, then I set owner to the user I always access this box with and group to 'music' and then set permissions to '770' for my whole music. There are still things to say, but I have to go now and will add them later... ;) -- signor_rossi ------------------------------------------------------------------------ signor_rossi's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11941 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87583 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
