I migrated with the automatic update to 7.6, and the server does not work anymore - can't reach via local host:9000.
I reinstalled several times with different versions up to unstable and even downgraded to 7.5.5 I am now back on 7.6.1 and found the following log entries - apparently the server tries to start, but encounters some indication that another SB is running (which is not the case): var/log/squeezeboxserver/server.log: [11-09-09 17:55:53.4708] main::init (350) Starting Squeezebox Server (v7.6.1, r33110, Wed Aug 17 18:50:10 PDT 2011) perl 5.010001 [11-09-09 17:55:53.5934] Slim::Networking::UDP::init (39) FATAL: There is already another copy of the Squeezebox Server running on this machine. (Address already in use) Any ideas? The Logitech support team still struggles to understand that I am running an Ubuntu version, no real help there... as the downgrade did not change (however I did not check the log at that time), I suspect that some general configuration around SBS must be screwed - caused by a faulty installation routine initially.
