Tried the command - getting

timmo@US:~$ ps aux | grep squeeze
115 2953 0.0 0.1 22176 1840 ? S 08:47 0:00
/bin/bash /usr/sbin/squeezeboxserver_safe /usr/sbin/squeezeboxserver
--prefsdir /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs --logdir
/var/log/squeezeboxserver/ --cachedir /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache
--charset=utf8
timmo 3526 0.0 0.0 10568 1076 pts/0 R+ 08:49 0:00 grep
--color=auto squeeze

then i did

sudo kill 2953

and started SBS as root (falls back to user squeezebox)

sudo squeezeboxserver
