That's useful to know, Thanks.

I'm now going for a different temporary solution, I've just installed
Squeezeboxserver on my Windows XP Laptop, and set the music folder to
the folder on my Ubuntu server. It seems to work (but I'm still doing a
scan). I think I might wait for the stable release of 7.7 before I
install on my Ubuntu box again.
