I'm wondering whether those instructions are out of date.
My system doesn't seem to be able to access the software repository any
more, (http://debian.slimdevices.com stable main), so I was wondering
whether it is no longer available, or if perhaps the name had changed.
I did a bit of searching and found these instructions suggesting that
you have to download the file and install it.

http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/17011/kw/Older%20squeezebox%20software%20ubuntu

The only version available on the download page was 7.6.1. When I
downloaded the file and double clicked on it, it opened up the ubuntu
software centre, which then installed it.

Only trouble is it doesn't seem to work, but as other people have said
above, we now need the newer version called Media Server which is
currently only a Beta version. I wonder how long it will be before a
stable version of the new software is available.

Richard.
