Issue had nothing at all to do with the -f flag, but is a side-effect of the -m problem when trying to run more than one squeezelite process, due to the same MAC address being used for several clients. By quickly scanning the Slimproto sources, it seems to me that LMS closes the old client socket if what it believes is an existing client reconnecting. I assume this results in an interesting race condition between the competing client processes.
