Too geeky? LOL. You need to write the image to the card, then mount the uboot partition under Linux and run a script to select and install the right uboot components specific to your board. OK, let's try and make this easier for you. I need to know which version of the Cubieboard you have. 512MB or 1024MB RAM? Then I'll do the bit you need to do under Linux, make a new img for you, you download it and use Win32DiskImager to write it to the card from Windows.
