I switched from HDMI back to the SGTL5000 and also switched my WiFi to a use static I.P. address as suggested. This helped quite a bit, although I still occasionally experience occasional disconnects. But usually I can run several hours or more in this configuration. The disconnects happen to other devices on my router, both WiFi as well as wired ethernet, so I suspect my router is not up to the task. I have a new one on order. But when I switch back to trying to use the HDMI for audio out, I cannot play for more than a few minutes at a time without the hdmi device going non-responsive:
