I suspect you are correct. I am using the hdmi input into the sound bar of my home theater system. When the music stops, the display on my TV blanks. I didn't notice that before because I just turned the TV off (leaving the sound bar on) while playing music. My SSH session stays active when the music and TV blanks. I don't have a USB keyboard. I seem to have jumped right from PS/2 keyboards to laptops. Not a USB keyboard in the house. I'll try to get my hands on one.
