Long-press on the IR remote to stop instead of pause is typically the thing I miss when I am in front of the PC or using ipeng. As Triode said, I use poweroff instead. You could also load the powersave plugin, I think I remember seeing it work with SqueezeLite. The shortest delay of 15 minutes idleness before power off suits me fine on my (hardware) players. I suppose you could hack that down to a few minutes if you wish.
