Since I did not want to hijack the new thread, with my questions - I thought this nearly dead thread might be the perfect place:
I own a Schiit Bifrost Dac (without usb) and love it, meanwhile it is connected to my Touch via optical. Using Triode's plugin I could then also connect it via usb. Schiit is now offering a new USB board as an upgrade: Quote from their website "Gen 2 USB Upgrade For Bifrost and Gungnir This new USB input card for Bifrost and Gungnir improves USB performance across the board, and allows you to enjoy music encoded in 24/176.4. Featuring the C-Media CM6631A receiver and additional isolation and filtering, the Gen 2 USB input outperforms external USB-SPDIF converters that cost several times as much." I already have a raspberry Pi running my server and it could also run Squeezelite output via usb. Wandboard is on my wishlist and would Squeezelite run better on it, better usb out? USB in general better than the optical out, that I am using now? So now I am really wondering what to do, what would be the best Touch replacement? (since I would need the Touch in another room) Once Gen 1 is available with all the great things that were already stated about the DAC, I am pretty sure that it will be a musthave. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Squeezemenicely's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41812 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98190 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
