Squeezelite is the playback application - the question will be whether the OS supports the hardware you are interested in. If they work with modern linux kernels then it should work on a linux machine. Note for the TE8802 this will require the manufacturer to have released a new firmware which is more compatible with standard usb audio than the one I make EDO work with as this change for EDO was really to prove that the TE8802 was not doing the right thing.
