I believe you have to go into the picoplayer setup (i forgot offhand what the command is) and select option....8? to "create a new image" to keep something persistent through a reboot. But it sounds like using 100% isn't going to work anyway...which means pico player isn't outputting bit perfect data (that's why you hear white noise with the streams you're trying).
