First, let me say thanks to Steen for putting this together. It's small and beautiful. However, like many others here, I had problems getting the wifi adapter to work. It worked out-of-the-box on the Raspbian release, but although I could get it to be seen on Picoreplayer, I got the same error messages as others, saying it wouldn't scan... I had previously replaced the Pi's power supply to sort out other problems, and in desperation, tried a vastly oversized power supply (3A) via a USB hub. Lo and behold, the Ralink wifi adapter sprang into life. I had previously incorporated the new firmware code, so I don't know whether it would work without that. Once again, power supply inadequacy struck! providing symptoms that look like something completely different. Advice to self.......always switch the power supply as first diagnostic measure. Hope this potentially helps others. The adapter I bought is item 310574944823 on eBay, though the price of £69.99 at which it's now advertised looks like an error to me.
